Clinton Chamber of Commerce Update

Posted

One month ago (10/18), I was having total hip replacement surgery at GVMH. I would like to thank all of the folks at GVMH that took care and continue to take care of me before, during and after my surgery. Much to the amazement to everyone, and myself, I made it back to work exactly two weeks after my surgery. The first two weeks back were only on a part-time basis. I have gone from using a walker to now using a cane and I hope to be walking on my own in a week or two. I would also like to thank Joyce Carr and Mark Dawson here at the Chamber for keeping this Chamber moving forward. More on that in just a moment. A big thanks also goes out to the Board of Directors of the Clinton Chamber as they were supportive during the time I missed work. Finally, thanks to everyone who has reached out over the past month asking how I’m doing and if I needed anything. As long as my wife Bretta is by my side, as she always is, I am doing just fine. Now, about the Greater Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism since the last time I talked to you on Oct. 14th:
The Greater Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce is giving you the chance to get free money! Our “150 to get 25” promotion is underway!
All you have to do is buy at least $150 in Chamber gift certificates and we’ll give you an extra gift certificate worth $25. That’s right, spend at least $150 with us and you’ll get an extra Christmas gift worth $25 for someone, or yourself!
This promotion will end at 4pm on Dec. 23rd. We are open Monday through Friday from 8am until 4:30pm. If you would like for your gift certificates to be ready when you come in, just call ahead and tell us how much you are wanting to spend and any names you may want on the cards.
Gift certificates can be used at most of our Chamber-member businesses and you can find all of our more than 400 Chamber members on our website, www.clintonmo.com. To order your gift certificates or if you have any questions, just call 660-885-8166 or email david@clintonmo.com or joyce@clintonmo.com. We are located at 200 South Main St. Only one free gift certificate per household.
It’s Nov. and it’s time for the Holidays! You may think the Holidays don’t actually begin until after Thanksgiving.
However for the Greater Clinton-Area Chamber of Commerce, we are ready to give you a chance to win…several chances to win, actually.
It’s the Clinton Chamber’s Third-Annual ‘Receipt to Receive’.
Right now, folks can bring in or email a receipt from a Clinton Chamber-member business and they will then be entered to win. Thus, Receipt to Receive.
At the Chamber, we will copy, scan or print that receipt and get your name and phone number. Keep in mind that the item or items on your receipt has to be at least $25 in total and those items need to be purchased from members of the Clinton Chamber to be entered, but you can enter multiple times each week with different receipts. Each week, those receipts will be entered into a drawing to win $25 in Chamber gift certificates. We will give our prize away each Monday. To be entered to win each Monday, you must bring at least one receipt to the Chamber that previous week. All qualifying receipts will be eligible for our grand prize giveaway.
On Dec. 23rd at noon, we will take ALL those receipts entered and draw the big winner of $200 in Chamber certificates.
We are open Monday through Friday from 8am until 4:30pm at 200 South Main St.
The Clinton Chamber of Commerce is giving away $375 in Chamber gift certificates with our seven weekly winners and that grand prize winner of $200 in Chamber gift certificates.
You can find a list of Clinton Chamber members when you go to www.clintonmo.com, call the Clinton Chamber at 660-885-8166 or look for the Clinton Chamber decal near the front of each business. You can email david@clintonmo.com or joyce@clintonmo.com.

The Clinton Chamber Announces It’s Small Business Season:
Support Local Clinton and Henry Co. businesses.
Throughout the holiday shopping season, the Chamber is encouraging consumers to “Think Small” and earmark at least part of their holiday spending in support of local small business. Mark, David and Joyce at the Clinton Chamber remind you that small business is the backbone of our economy. 64% of our new jobs in the US come from small business. When people spend their dollars locally, more money stays local. On average, for every $100 spent locally, $68 of that stays here.
