After losing a heartbreaker to the Oak Grove Panthers the Cards traveled to Lone Jack on Thursday, Oct. 21. The Cards started quick and got an early goal from Derek McCormack. A few minutes later another ‘flick’ put McCormack onto another over the top run. McCormack’s speed is hard for teams to match. The Cards went up 2-0. Later in the half Wally Gregory drove the ball deep on the left side and found the right angle to beat the Mule goalie. The Cards went up 3-0 at the half. The Mules got more possession in the second half but the Cardinal defense never broke. The Cards got the needed 3-0 win and go 10-7 on the year. Go Cards.
