This summer Caitlyn Bryant, a junior at Clinton High School, attended the National Youth Leadership Forum’s Law and CSI Program in Washington, D.C. She joined 100 high school scholars, who also have interests in the criminal justice field, at George Mason University. They participated in-site visits to a Virginia crime lab, the James J. Rowley Training Center, and the National Law Enforcement Museum. These scholars learned from experts in the field, culminating in working a simulated crime scene and taking that case through trial. Students build the confidence and skills needed to excel at college and in the workplace. They learned how to adapt to and communicate in new situations, to face new challenges, and immerse with new people. These are essential skills for success, given how rapidly the world is changing due to technology and innovation. Caitlyn was nominated for this program by the history department, through her American Government teacher, Mr. Tucker.
