Last Chance Reminder For Area Artists

Posted

The Ike Parker Memorial Fine Arts Show is fast approaching. There’s barely time for one more reminder, calling all area artists to choose which pieces you would like to enter. The categories are; photography, sculpture, painting, drawing and mixed media. The divisions are professional, amateur and high school. You may enter up to 4 pieces, at $10 per piece. High school entry winners receive; $50 for 1st, $25 for 2nd and $15 for 3rd. Professional & amateur winners receive $100 for 1st, $50 for 2nd and $25 for 3rd. Best of Show receives $200 and People’s Choice receives $100.
Entry forms may be picked up at Gallery Three. The entry forms and entry fees must be turned in to the Gallery by June 21st. Make checks payable to Gallery Three and mail it, with the form, to Gallery Three at P.O. Box 312; Clinton, MO 64735. All entries must be suitably framed, wired & ready to hang. No sawtooth hangers, string or clips can be accepted. (They do not work on peg boards for display). Due to limited space, the maximum size is 30” x 36” and must weigh less than 10 pounds. Artwork will be handled with care, however, a Olde Glory Days and Gallery Three will not be responsible for loss or damage.
The artwork needs to be delivered Thursday, June 29th, from 2:00-7:00 at the DeLozier building on the northwest corner of Clinton’s downtown square, 203 West Franklin St. There will be one judge for the photography and two judges for the other artwork. They will be judged by opening day and may be viewed Friday, June 30th, from 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. and Saturday July 1st from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 pm. Artwork must be picked up no sooner than 4:30. We would like to take photos of recipients of ribbons.
