Joyce Cordray, age 78 of Clinton, Missouri passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
Joyce Elaine Cordray was born on December 22, 1944 to Horbert and Mildred (Shelton) Woirhaye in Butler, Missouri and grew up on the farm in Ballard.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents Horbert and Mildred Woirhaye.
Survivors include her husband James Cordray, 5 children: Shawn (Melinda) Owens of DePere, Wisconsin, Shay (Melissa) Owens of Glenpool, Oklahoma, Kevin Cordray of St. Peter, Missouri, Troy Cordray of Browning, Missouri, Kelly (Roger) Gibson of Marshal, Missouri, her sister, Barbara (Max) Combs, 13 grandchildren: Rheagan Newman, Lauren Owens, Korbynn Owens, Seth Owens, Parker Owens, Joseph Cordray, Emily Cordray, Jose (Angel) Almazan, Joshua Heather, Andrew Heather, Layton Cordray, Taylor Cordray, Myranda Cordray, 3 great grandchildren: Gabriel Almazan, Christian Almazan, Alayna Almazan, Bentley Heather, and Ava Heather.
Joyce was great with crafts, enjoyed sewing and loved hanging out with grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held June 5, 2023 at the First Presbyterian Church, Clinton with Rev. Nancy Gillard officiating. Special music included “It Is Well With My Soul, Tis’ So Sweet and Amazing Grace.”
Services were under the direction of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, MO.
