Have I Got A Line For You!

What interesting times we live in. President Trump is indicted for having classified documents the same day evidence comes out about the Biden Family being bribed. It’s going to be a race to see what happens first. World War III over Ukraine, our country going bankrupt under un-payable debt, a permanent socialist dictatorship or a civil war in our streets. Criminalize the leader of the opposition party. This is what a banana republic does. As my new pen pal points out, The Donald is no Saint. That might be true and some see him as a sleazy businessman, but there’s nothing worse than a corrupt career politician. Build Back Better has really been about who paid Joe Biden the most money. In the meantime, it’s been announced that China has a spy base in Cuba. Not sure why they bothered with Cuba, they have one in the Oval Office. Ah well, politics in general is fun, though it can bring heart break at times and waiting. Remember when we didn’t know who’d won the White House, Bush or Gore until weeks later?

Let’s switch to something else. One of the joys of the internet is looking up things and places that interest you. I have been on a number of sites about Ireland and Austria. I’ve searched for long lost ancestors and looked up recipes for Tiroler Grostl. I like sites that tie in with politics too. For example, there’s one about Davos where elite politicians and business people gather each years and “Make plans for our lives.” Another one about Skull & Bones is fascinating too. This secret society was founded years ago and its members are the elite of both the Democrat and Republican parties. Yep, you bet! And I learned yesterday that our Justice Department asked Google and other search engine companies to give the names of folks looking up certain things. The Department says it’s just “people looking for child porn?” You believe that?

Aunt Jane called last night and the conversation drifted to Missouri “Mills.” They looked like a milk cap and were used as a measure to collect sales tax. Later Missouri switched to mills made of metal and the final ones were made of plastic. Then they were done away with and sales tax was paid in cash. Now the mills are small collector’s items. JWB says she’s lucky to have a few of them, along with pleasant memories of long ago Missouri.
