The Bourland Radiation Oncology Center is being built with an emphasis on comfort, quality, convenience and the latest technology. It will feature a linear accelerator, one of the most sophisticated radiation technologies available. The linear accelerator has enhanced speed and accuracy with precise targeting to treat tumors. Using the linear accelerator for radiation therapy can reduce the number of treatments needed by patients.
“When the Center is complete, patients will be able to get expert cancer care, see familiar specialists and staff, and not be burdened with traveling miles away to receive treatment,” said Craig Thompson, CEO at GVMH. “We are excited to bring this vital service to Clinton and our surrounding communities.”
